Barton County renews Facade Improvement Grant program

Another Round II Façade Improvement Grant Project has been completed. With $20,000.00 awarded earlier this year, the Miller’s of Claflin building at 220 Main, Claflin, has been improved.

Barton County Commission Chairman Shawn Hutchinson said it was incredible to partner on this particular project as Miller’s provided an almost 50% match. With the new façade, the Millers building stayed in character with the rest of their storefronts and honors the passing of co-owner Bill Miller. As fourth-generation owners, he and brother Brad Miller, along with the current generation of Millers, make sure that storefronts represent businesses from Claflin’s past.
