Barton County warns citizens of possible COVID-19 exposure at local church

Following KDHE guidance, Barton County, in conjunction with the Eldership of Community Christian Church, provides the following information:

The Barton County Health Department has identified a positive case of COVID-19 involving a person who attended a worship service at Community Christian Church, 253 NE 30 Road, Great Bend on Sunday, July 26.

Individuals who attended church service on Sunday, July 26 may have been exposed to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

The Barton County Health Department encourages those who were at the above location during the identified days and times to monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days. Symptoms include fever, cough, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell, fatigue, diarrhea, and/or shortness of breath/difficulty breathing.

If symptoms develop, please stay home, and contact your health care provider for guidance on testing. In an emergency, please call 911 and notify first responders that you were potentially exposed to COVID-19 and, if possible, wear a cloth face mask before they arrive.
