Get ready for a show-stopping celebration of student talent at the 54th Annual Variety Show hosted by Great Bend High School. This tradition takes center stage on Saturday, May 3, at 7:30 p.m. and again on Sunday, May 4, at 2 p.m. Patrons are encouraged to arrive early, as both performances will feature a 30-minute pre-show concert by the GBHS Jazz Band.
With over 250 students participating from grades 9–12, the Variety Show is a one-of-a-kind event that highlights the musical, comedic, and theatrical talents of GBHS students. While performers from all grade levels will shine, the spotlight is set firmly on the senior class. This show is a heartfelt "thank you" to the seniors for their dedication and hard work over the past four years.
“This show is such a special tradition,” said Susan Stambaugh, GBHS Vocal Music Director. “It’s a way for our students, especially our seniors, to take the stage one more time and share their passion and creativity with the community. The Variety Show has always been about celebrating their growth, their talents, and the friendships they’ve built through music and performance.”
Audiences can expect an exciting mix of musical numbers spanning various genres, comedy skits, solos, duets, and more — all performed by GBHS’s talented vocalists and instrumentalists. The Variety Show has been an audience favorite for over five decades, continuing to entertain and inspire year after year.
