Last Friday, at approximately 5:16 p.m., officers from the Great Bend Police Department were dispatched to an injury accident at the intersection of 9th and Kansas in Great Bend.
Upon officers’ arrival, they located a Black 2018 Suzuki GSX-R750, which had been driven by 25-year-old Nathaniel Larkin, and a white 2015 Ford F-150, which had been driven by 51-year-old Oscar Munoz. Officers determined that Larkin was traveling southbound in the 900 block of Kansas and struck Munoz, who was traveling westbound at 9th and Kansas. Larkin was transported by Great Bend EMS to the University of Kansas Medical Center - Great Bend Campus, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Munoz was arrested for involuntary manslaughter, DUI and No Driver’s License. Munoz was transported to the Barton County Detention Center where he was booked in lieu of a $100,000.00 bond.
