
On May 22, at approximately 7:50 p.m., an officer with the Hoisington Police Department responded to the 500 block of East 1st Street in Hoisington regarding a reported disturbance. The reporting party advised a female subject was threatening others with a baseball bat.
Upon arrival, the officer quickly gained control of the scene and detained several irate individuals involved in the incident. During the investigation, officers interviewed multiple witnesses and gathered evidence related to the disturbance.

As a result of the investigation, three individuals identified as 54-year-old David Sims, Sr., 53-year-old Shana Stidham, and 18-year-old Caiden Miller, were arrested and transported to the Barton County Jail. All three were booked on battery-related charges.
During the course of the investigation at the residence where the subjects resided, officers developed probable cause illegal narcotics were present inside the residence. A search warrant was subsequently obtained.

Later that day, just before 11:30 p.m., officers from the Hoisington Police Department executed a narcotics search warrant at 512 East 1st Street in Hoisington. During the search, officers located suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
The case has been submitted to the Barton County Attorney's Office for review and prosecution of the appropriate criminal charges. The Hoisington Police Department was assisted by the Barton County Sheriff's Office.
