In late March, the City of Great Bend announced that individuals or businesses that wanted to advertise at the Great Bend Sports Complex now have multiple opportunities with outfield signs, scoreboard naming and signs throughout the facility. Any money raised from the sponsorships will go toward upgrades and maintenance and the capital improvement fund for the Sports Complex.
Interim
City Administrator Logan Burns said the deadline to submit a sponsorship has
passed, but the city will work with businesses if they are interested.
"We still have spots open for that, but we have several businesses that have taken the opportunity," said Burns. "I think we expect some to trickle in after the deadline. We'll work them and see if we can get them up as quickly as we can."
The outfield signs would place a 4' x 8' display along the outfield
fence. Great Bend was also offering scoreboard naming advertisements for
$25,000 at the varsity fields to have your business name above the scoreboard.
