When Claflin High School consolidated with nearby towns to form Central
Plains High School following the 2011 school year, folks wanted to create an
event to honor former Claflin graduates. The Claflin Memorial Weekend
Celebration and All School Reunion started in 2011 to do just that.
Event organizer Murine Urban-Prosser said the celebration is coming up again May 28 - May 30, and the weekend is loaded with events for
all ages, especially Sunday, May 29.
"Whoever wants to come, just come over," said Urban-Prosser. "We're hoping for a big crowd. We have a lot going on Saturday, Sunday and Monday."

Sunday, May 29
Pancake Feed on Main Street - 8 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Claflin Museum Open - 9 a.m.
Methodist Church Women's Lunch at the church - 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Parade down Main Street - 1 p.m.
Kid's Games in the park - 2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Cornhole Tournament on Main - 3 p.m.
Touch-A-Truck at 5th & Hamilton - 2 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Car Show north of the city park - 2 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Beer Garden / Food Vendors on Main - 5 p.m.
