Community COVID-19 drive-thru testing to be conducted in Hoisington

When: Thursday, Aug. 13, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. 

Where: American Family Insurance parking lot – 302 N. Main Street – Hoisington. Look for the Public Health Mobile Unit

Why: Due to the increasing number of positive cases of COVID-19 in the community, the Barton County Health Department with support of and in collaboration with the City of Hoisington and Clara Barton Hospital, is providing an additional access point for specimen collection.

Only individuals with signs and symptoms of COVID-19 will be tested. After collection, specimens will be tested at the Kansas Health and Environmental Lab. Results to be available in approximately 72 hours. The Barton County Health Department will contact you with your results.

There is no charge for this service.

Signs and Symptoms can include but are not limited to:
• Fever
• Chills
• Headache
• Sore Throat
• Cough
• Shortness of Breath
• Difficulty Breathing
• New Olfactory and Taste Disorders
• Nausea or Vomiting
• Diarrhea

Call Barton County Health Department at 620-793-1902 to make appointments and to provide information so that paperwork can be completed prior to arrival. Those presenting without appointments will be tested as time permits.
