PHOTOGRAPHY BASICS & BEYOND
This course will provide an introduction to, and through discussion of, elements of photography that are operational in every image make, regardless of the type of camera used. It is designed to take those who are interested in improving their photography, and who also have DSLR or Mirrorless cameras capable of changes being made in shutter speed, aperture, ISO, focus, and more, beyond just using the Automatic settings and into a much more thorough understanding of those factors, as well as control of them. In addition, concepts such as depth of field and the factors involved, elements of composition, modes such an aperture priority, shutter priority, “B” manual mode, live view, types of light, and other factors involved in photography, will be discussed. Hands-on practice will be done during some class sessions, and handouts containing online links to various articles that expound on topics presented in classes will also be provided.
