LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas football started fall training camp at Murfin Family Practice Fields on Thursday morning. Presented by Country Financial, fall camp will be a one month build up to the grand opening of the new David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium vs. Fresno State on Aug. 23.
"Very pleased, great attitude," head coach Lance Leipold said of the first day of practice. "They've been anxious to get out there and play for real. I love the attitude and the hustle so far, but we've thrown a lot at them. It's a good first day, a good first step, got a lot to work on yet, but I like where it's trending.
The first practice of the season featured KU's 112 players running through individual drills and team-related work.
The Jayhawks are just under a month away until the start of the 2025 season with the grand opening of the new David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 23 when Kansas hosts Fresno State. The season-opener serves as the first of seven games coming to Lawrence in 2025, with a full schedule and single-game non-conference tickets and season tickets still available.
