HopeFest is coming to Jack Kilby Square on Saturday, Sept. 19, bringing a full day of entertainment, activities, food and community connection to downtown Great Bend.

Hosted by The Center for Counseling & Consultation, HopeFest is built around one big idea: community mental well-being is for everyone. Whether you have a personal connection to mental health, recovery or suicide prevention—or you’re simply looking for a great way to spend your Saturday—there’s a place for you.

The day begins at 7 a.m. with a Sunrise Remembrance Ceremony and continues with live music, fitness classes, a youth talent showcase, magic, bounce houses, face painting, balloon art, a petting zoo and pony rides, food vendors, interactive booths, an art gallery and activities for all ages.

Most daytime HopeFest activities are free, thanks to the incredible sponsors and community partners helping bring this vision to life.

Then, stick around for the finale. Nationally-recognized recovery comedian Mark Lundholm takes the stage at the Crest Theatre at 6:30 p.m. for an evening of unforgettable comedy. Tickets can be purchased or reserved online, with tickets also available at the door.

Come for an activity. Stay for the day. Leave with a little more hope.
