(KJCCC) January 26, 2023 - Conference baseball coaches in the West division and the East division voted on preseason favorites, and Barton and Cowley were their choices.
In the West, Barton is the favorite to take the division, while Butler is the second pick. Cowley is atop the preseason poll on the East side, with Johnson County tabbed a solid second. Cowley won the Region VI title in 2022 and represented the KJCCC at the JUCO World Series, where they lost the national championship game to Central Arizona.
