You could see this coming. Despite showing marked improvement since the beginning of the season, the Great Bend Lady Panthers had yet to post a victory in the 2022 season. That changed Friday when Great Bend traveled to Liberal and beat the Redskins twice for their first two wins of the year.
The Lady Panthers won both games by the score of 8-7, overcoming their inability to win close contests in previous games.
Great Bend improves to 2-14 overall and 2-10 in Western Athletic Conference action. Liberal falls to 8-7 and 1-6.
Great Bend is back at home Tuesday when they host Hutchinson at the Sports Complex.
