James Baldwin and LaRyssa Baldwin, who operate the Kansas Motocross Championship Series, wish to enter into an operating agreement for the Great Bend Motopark located at the Expo Complex area of the Great Bend Municipal Airport.
The term of the agreement will be in effect until Dec. 31, 2027, unless either the city or operator gives a notice of intent to terminate the contract at least 60 days before Dec. 31 of any of the years during the term of this agreement. The agreement shall renew automatically for one-year periods thereafter.
The operator shall provide insurance for all events in the minimum amount of $1,000,000 and name the city as co-insured. The operator shall provide all upkeep of the motopark and clean after each event.
The operator shall pay the city 0% of the gross gate entry from all events during the year 2024, 2% for 2025, 3.5% for 2026 and 5% for 2027 and each year thereafter.
A motion will be presented to approve the operating agreement with Kansas Motocross Championship Series at the Great Bend City Council meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 3 at 6:30 p.m.
