Mark Dwayne Stegman

Mark Dwayne Stegman, age 61, of Great Bend, Kansas died on January 31, 2022  at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. Mark was born on May 15, 1960 in Hays, Kansas to Felix and Elsie (Jacobs) Stegman. He attended Washington Grade School, Kennedy Middle School, Thomas More Prep High School (1978) and NCK Technical College, earning his degree in Restaurant Management.

Mark worked his entire career in the restaurant/food industry and enjoyed his many friendships shared with those he worked with. He was a very family-oriented person who held a deep love and pride for his large family. Mark was a very proud member of the TMP Alumni Association.  
He taught religious education at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for many, many years and truly loved sharing his knowledge of his deep-rooted faith with the kids in his classes.

Mark is survived by his siblings, Tracy (Jeff) Augustine, Ellis, KS,  Brent (Kelly) Stegman, Olathe, KS, Faye (Ron) Wiesner, Hays, KS,  Dorrene (Cam) Wahlmeier, Rogers, AR, Pam Reitmeyer, KC, MO, Shelly Harrell, Hays, KS, Sharon (Phil) Rollins, King George, VA and many nephews and nieces.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents and 6 brothers, Eldon, Stan, Gregg, Brad, Wes, and Bruce Stegman, and his beloved dog, Molly.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Brock’s-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601. Inurnment will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Pfeifer, Kansas.
