MINDEN, La. (AP) — Police say the oldest brother of Kansas City Chiefs cornerback L’Jarius Sneed has been killed by a woman in northern Louisiana. KTBS-TV reports T’Qarontarion “TQ” Harrison was stabbed Friday night in Minden. The 32-year-old tried to drive himself to a local hospital but died following emergency surgery. Angela Washington was charged with second-degree homicide. A large kitchen knife was recovered but authorities didn’t offer a motive. Sneed had earlier this year told The Kansas City Star that he credits Harrison for raising him while his parents were in prison. Harrison had described his relationship with Sneed as extremely close due to the difficult circumstances of their upbringing.

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — Tyson Etienne and Morris Udeze both scored 16 points and Wichita State breezed to a 71-58 victory over Norfolk State. Dexter Dennis added 10 points for the Shockers (7-2), who have won four straight at home. Dana Tate Jr. scored a career-high 22 points for the Spartans (9-3).

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) — Ochai Agbaji scored 21 points, Christian Braun and Dajuan Harris had 13 apiece, and No. 8 Kansas roared to a 102-65 victory over Missouri in the first meeting of the longtime Big 12 rivals as nonconference foes. David McCormack added 11 points and Remy Martin 10 for the Jayhawks. They have won eight of the past nine in a series that began in 1907 but hadn’t been played since the Tigers departed the Big 12 after the 2012 season. Javon Pickett led sloppy, poor-shooting Missouri with 19 points. DaJuan Gordon had 11 and leading scorer Kobe Brown was held to five and six rebounds.

NEW YORK (AP) — Alabama's Bryce Young won the Heisman Trophy, beating out Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson to give the Crimson Tide consecutive winners of college football's most famous individual award. Pitt quarterback Kenny Pickett finished third and Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud was fourth in the voting. Young is Alabama's fourth Heisman winner, all in the last 13 years, and the first Tide quarterback to take the trophy. Following DeVonta Smith's Heisman victory last year, Alabama is the fifth school to have consecutive winners, joining Yale, Army, USC and Oklahoma. Young has passed for 4,322 yards and 43 touchdowns to lead the top-ranked Tide to the College Football Playoff. Wide receiver DeVonta Smith won last year.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — Quarterback Tai Lavatai ran for two touchdowns and Navy limited Army to 57-second-half yards in a 17-13 win over the Cadets. Christian Anderson scored on a 56-yard run on Army’s fourth play from scrimmage and Cole Talley added field goals of 31 and 32 yards, all in the first half. Army had won four of the previous five meetings before falling to 8-4 this year heading into its bowl game.

UNDATED (AP) — Oregon has hired Georgia defensive coordinator Dan Lanning as its next head coach. Lanning will replace Mario Cristobal, who was hired away by Miami earlier in the week. The 35-year-old Lanning will be a first-time head coach with the Ducks after spending the last four years at Georgia, the last three as defensive coordinator.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The New Orleans Pelicans say Zion Williamson has experienced a “regression” in his surgically repaired right foot. The setback further delays the star forward’s anticipated return to the court for what would be his season debut. The club says Williamson now needs to rest for an unspecified time to promote bone healing.
