Jack T. Dunn, Jr., 80, passed away on June 13, 2022, at University of Kansas Medical Center – Great Bend Campus in Great Bend, Kansas. He was born on October 21, 1941 to Jack T. & Bessie (Pease) Dunn in Welch, Okla. Jack married Cheryl Thompson; they later divorced. On December 17, 1965, he married Janet Mullen in Great Bend, Kansas. She passed away in 1981. He then married Joann Boling on November 9, 1990 in Great Bend.
A long-time resident of Great Bend, Jack worked for many years as a chemical engineer for Davis Mud and Chemical, Inc., followed by 35 years in IT for Doonan Trailer. He loved spending time riding his motorcycle and with his family.
Survivors include his wife of the home; four sons, Bradley (Teri) Thompson of Elk City, Okla., Jack T. (Jennifer) Dunn, III of Eudora, Kan., Michael (Cathy) Dunn of Leavenworth, Kan., and Dusty (Dusty) Davis of Ennis, Tex.; twelve grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Janet Mullen; his parents; a daughter, Michelle Dunn; and a brother, James Dunn.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Schumacher presiding. Inurnment will follow at Great Bend Cemetery. Memorials have been designated to Run for the Wall, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
