Great Bend Bat Cat first baseman Simon Larranaga was the winner of Tuesday night's Sunflower Collegiate League home run contest held at Hutchinson's Hobart-Detter Field.
The 6-4 slugging first baseman from Temple Junior College in Texas, ranks 2nd in the Sunflower Collegiate League in home runs with 6.
Larranaga was on of seven Bat Cat players who took part in the All-Star game and were part of the Stars team who defeated the Stripes 15-4.
The Bat Bats resume regular season action Thursday at home against the Derby Twins in a 7:00pm game at Al Burns Field.
