The Great Bend Recreation Commission will be hosting a Babysitting 101 class on Wednesday, March 13, from 1:00 - 5:00 pm at the Cottonwood Extension District Office (3007 10th Street). This class is open to participants ages 11 and older.
Pre-registration is required by 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 7.
This course gives participants the knowledge, skills, and confidence to care for toddlers through school-age children. Topics include safety issues, preventing injuries and illness, basic childcare, and age-appropriate activities to do with children. Each student will receive a wealth of information. Students will also learn how to make a snack for kids. Please let us know at registration if your child has any food allergies that we need to be aware of. Michelle Beran, Cottonwood Extension District 4-H & Youth Development Agent, will be the instructor for the class.
