Looking for a new furry friend? Then stop by the Golden Belt Humane Society on South Highway 281 this month during the 12th Annual “Clear The Shelters” event, a national pet adoption campaign. Adoption hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from noon until 3:00 p.m. The Shelter is closed on Wednesdays and Sundays. Online donations can be made through September 15th. There are numerous puppies and kittens looking for their forever home. Memberships to the Humane Society will also be available.
