BARTON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities responded to an accident involving a school district vehicle just after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in Barton County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2009 Chevy Tahoe driven by Levi Shuey, 19, Great Bend, was westbound on Highway 56 just east of Great Bend.
The SUV rear-ended a USD 440 Halstead-Bentley 2017 Ford Transit van driven by Timothy Warsnack, 48, Newton, that had slowed for a disabled vehicle in front of it. There were 8 juveniles on board the van. The KHP reported there were no injuries.
