Having everything under one roof has been a nice change for USD 428. During last Monday's board of education meeting, JoAnn Blevins, director of teaching and learning for USD 428, said the annual preschool and kindergarten pre-enrollment event is scheduled for Wednesday, April 16, at the Little Panthers Preschool and District Education Center, 1809 24th Street in Great Bend.
"The time is changed," she said. "We're going to do 5-7:30 p.m. and the location is changed. We're going to have it here in this building rather than at the Events Center. We're in a really great position where we can host that now."
Parents with children already enrolled in Little Panthers Preschool can pre-enroll during parent-teacher conferences this week. On April 16, both sides of the building will be open for enrollment.
"The preschool side will be open and we'll have the new preschoolers go to that side of the building to check it out as they pre-enroll," said Blevins. "The kindergarten pre-enrollment will be here in the board room."
Little Panthers Preschool is for children ages three and four years old.
