The Russell Community Impact Award Committee announced Tammy Mitchell as the recipient of the March 2025 Russell Community Impact Award. This award recognizes individuals, businesses, or organizations whose exceptional contributions have significantly enriched the fabric of the Russell community.
Tammy's multiple nominations describe her as dedicated, selfless, exceptional, generous, and innovative. Tammy demonstrates these qualities through her involvement in numerous local initiatives and organizations. She serves as a board member of the Dream Theatre, is an active member of Kiwanis, and serves as an active and involved member of her church community at The Chapel of Hope. Tammy also serves as the Local Drop-off Team Leader for Operation Christmas Child.
Her nominations describe her as the person everyone knows they can count on to get the job done and that our community is stronger and better because of her.
As the winner of the Russell Community Impact Award, Tammy received a $250 donation to the non-profit of her choice. Tammy chose the Dream Theatre Space as the recipient.
