Great Bend Public Schools USD 428 is proud to invite families and community members to attend the Great Bend Middle School Spring Expo on Monday, March 30, from 6:30–8 p.m. at Great Bend Middle School, 1919 Harrison St.
This event offers a glimpse into student life at GBMS, showcasing the creativity, talent, and hard work of students across academics, athletics, fine arts, and more. Attendees can explore a wide range of student projects and activities—from innovative classroom work to engaging extracurricular opportunities.
The Spring Expo is especially valuable for current 6th-grade families, providing a welcoming preview of what students can look forward to as they transition into middle school next year. Tours of GBMS will be provided by Student Council members; they will depart regularly from the refreshment table staffed by Student Council.
“This event is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our students while also welcoming the community into our building,” said Miranda Zink, a GBMS teacher and member of the school’s Engagement & Attendance Committee. “We’re excited to share the incredible things happening here and help families feel connected and inspired.”
Throughout the evening, guests can also enjoy refreshments, corn hole games, and a variety of live student performances:
· 6:30 p.m. – Music in Motion
· 6:45 p.m. – Women in Harmony
· 7:15 p.m. – 7th Grade Orchestra
· 7:30 p.m. – Jazz Cats
· 7:45 p.m. – 8th Grade Orchestra
The Spring Expo is designed to strengthen connections between school and community while celebrating student achievement. Whether you're a parent, future Panther, or community member, this event is a perfect opportunity to experience the spirit of Great Bend Middle School.
