Wheatland Electric Cooperative, Inc. is inviting the local community to our Power Play – an evening of food, fun and festivities – with the Great Bend Bat Cats at Al Burns Memorial Field on June 29.
Wheatland will be grilling free hamburgers and hot dogs for the first 200 attendees, first-come first-served, beginning at 6 PM. Dollar beer will also be available.
Gates open at 6:30 PM and admission is free. Help us cheer on this semi-professional team and fill the stands with local fans. The Bat Cats will be playing host to the non-league Colorado Cage Rats during this June 29 home game.
The Bat Cats are playing this summer as part of the Jayhawk Collegiate League, a not for profit 501(c)3 summer collegiate baseball league formed in 1976. The league is made up of 7 independently owned teams in south central Kansas playing in Derby, Great Bend, Haysville, Hutchinson, Augusta, Kingman, and Newton.
