The Kansas heat is not going away anytime soon. Forecast highs for the region remain above the century mark through Thursday, with some relief expected Friday and Saturday with high temperatures in the low 90s.

The Ellinwood City Pool announced it will remain open during the evening through Aug. 14. Adult swim and water aerobics will run from 6-7 p.m. each evening this week, and family swim will run from 7-8:30 p.m.&nbsp;

The pool was originally set to close for the season on Sunday.
