For 44 years, Camp Hope has allowed children facing cancer to step away from their diagnosis and simply be kids, all at no cost to their families. Campers convened at Camp Aldrich on Father's Day, and will hang out through Saturday, June 27.

The Knights of Columbus Council 862 in Great Bend used proceeds from its Third Annual Charity Golf Tournament held June 5 at Lake Barton Golf Course to make a $6,000 contribution to Camp Hope. Grand Knight David Dreiling presented the check to Camp Director Chianna Henkel earlier this week. Henkel is a former camper at Camp Hope, first attending in 1989.

Campers and camp staff were also invited to the Columbus Club on Monday for a free lunch. Approximately 120 meals were served.
