Playing 110 minutes wasn't enough Thursday at Wichita's Stryker Sports Complex as it took a shootout to advance the 17th ranked Barton Community College women's soccer team past Coffeyville Community College in the Region VI/Plains District semifinals.
The 4-1 shootout result advances the 2nd seeded Cougars (16-3-1) into Saturday's 6:00 p.m. Championship match against 4th ranked and top seeded Butler Community College (18-2-1) as the Grizzlies got past Hutchinson 1-0 in the other semifinal result. Coffeyville ends their season at 14-4-2 with Hutchinson's coming to a close at 14-4.
