The Barton County Fair is set to return to the Expo Complex in Great Bend June 24-28, marking the 35th year of the fair's modern tradition of bringing together agriculture, youth development, entertainment, exhibits, and family fun.
The fair showcases the hard work of local 4-H members, area exhibitors, volunteers, and community supporters while offering activities for visitors of all ages. Its mission focuses on supporting agriculture and the youth of Barton County through educational opportunities, competitive exhibits, and community involvement.
Throughout the five-day event, fairgoers can enjoy livestock shows, exhibits, carnival rides, live entertainment, commercial vendors, food attractions, and numerous special events. Admission to the fairgrounds is free, making it one of the area's largest annual community celebrations.
Always a hit, Weee Entertainment returns with its carnival from 6-10 p.m. June 24-27. Wristbands are $33 per evening, and will allow the holder to ride without tickets all evening. Single tickets are $4.50 per ticket, or a family pack of 10 tickets is $40. A Super Saver pack that includes 30 tickets is $115. Each ride is one ticket per rider with the exception of the Freak Out ride, which is two tickets. Since the Freak Out is two tickets, those with wristbands will need to purchase another ticket to enjoy the ride.
