PAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement officers in Pawnee County had a surprise during a traffic stop Wednesday.
According to a social media report from Great Ben Police, both of department's K9 teams assisted in an enforcement activity in Pawnee Co. During the course of the enforcement, Officer Taylor Reed conducted a traffic stop for a minor violation.
The driver was 28-year-old Rudy Ford, a defensive back with the Green Bay Packers. The seven year NFL veteran played college football at Auburn, according to his Packer bio.
"This interaction went great, but it makes you think. We have over 18,000 cars a day drive down 10th St in Great Bend. Good, bad or otherwise, you just don’t know who is passing through our communities."
