Arthur Lee Jaske, 80, passed away December 13, 2021, at Diversicare of Larned. He was born on September 24, 1941, at Concordia, Kan., the son of Owen and Louise (Doxon) Jaske. He married Patricia Weston on August 2, 1974, at Great Bend. She died on September 13, 1983. He then married Sue Lang on May 25, 1996, at Great Bend. She survives.
A longtime resident of Great Bend, he was an engineer for the Kansas Highway Department, an insurance agent and worked in Human Resources for the Larned State Hospital. Most recently he served faithfully for the Kansas Guardianship Program. He graduated in 1959 from Holyrood High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. He attended Fort Hays State University and was a member of the Formoro Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife Sue Jaske of the home; five sons, Kevin Jaske and wife Devonna of Lyons, Mark Jaske of Lyons, Brad Ballard of Poulsbo, Wash., Chris Seyfert and wife Chelsea of Weeping Water, Neb., and Doug Clark of Great Bend; two daughters, Brenda Clark and Jamie Miller and husband Kevin, all of Great Bend; a brother, Jim Jaske of Wichita; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Debbie Ballard.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Bryant Funeral Home, with Jason Parr presiding. Inurnment will be in the Great Bend Cemetery Mausoleum, Military Rites conducted by the Fort Riley Honor Guard. Memorials have been designated to Sunflower Diversified Services, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
