APPROVAL OF APPROPRIATIONS: -An Accounts Payable Register was approved for the period of May 25, 2022, and ending June 8, 2022.
NEW BUSINESS - KANSAS DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE CONTACT: -Matt Patzner, Director of Operations, provided details. The Kansas Department of Revenue, overseeing the Division of Taxes, Division of Vehicles, Property Valuation Division, and Alcoholic Beverage Control, collects taxes and fees, administers Kansas tax laws, issues licenses, enforces alcohol law and aids Kansas citizens and local governments. Through the issuance of a KDOR CR-18 Form, the Commission named Mr. Patzner as the contact for Barton County.
JOINT MEETING OVERVIEW: Ellinwood City Council: -Chairman Shawn Hutchinson was joined by the Commission in this discussion. The Commission met with the Ellinwood City Council the evening of June 1, 2022. Chris Komarek, Ellinwood City Administrator, also joined in the discussion. Topics included the hospital expansion, housing improvements and street improvements.
Under other business, a citizen discussed the bailing requirements on County right-of-way.
