Many parents are starting to mark down all the Halloween celebrations
around the community coming up, and they can add one more. The Grade School
Halloween Parade will take place Oct. 31 in Ellinwood.
The grade school students and daycare children will make their way down Main
Street where local businesses will hand out candy. Ellinwood Chamber of
Commerce board member Jennifer Klepper said anyone is welcome to come watch or
participate in the parade.
"The event is starting to grow, which I really love," said Klepper. "Sunflower Bank has really gotten into the costumes. We've had other businesses that dress up. The kids walk down the street and trick-or-treat. It's a lot of fun and the kids enjoy getting out."
Children from Ellinwood Grade School, St. Joseph Catholic School and St. John’s
Child Development Center will make their way down the brick street around 2
p.m. on Halloween.
