McGuire stepping down after nine years at the Russell library
Jessica McGuire has served as Library Director at the Russell Public Library since 2014. She has recently taken a marketing job at Fort Hays State University and her last day at the library will be Friday, April 14. During her time at the library, McGuire has increased library programming, renovated the interior and exterior of the library, created the first-ever space for middle school and high school-aged children, and started an outreach program using the library's first book bike.
McGuire is grateful for the time she has had with her amazing staff, patrons, and Board of Directors.
"I have loved my time at the Russell Public Library and am appreciative of how the community of Russell has supported me and my work at the library," she said. "I will always have a special place in my heart for the Russell Public Library and all the people I have met there."
The Russell Public Library Board of Directors encourages those who are interested in applying for the position to send a cover letter, resume, and three professional references, in PDF form, to Andrea Cross at [email protected]. The Board will be accepting applications until the position is filled.
