LOS ANGELES (AP) — Cody Bellinger had a grand slam and six RBIs as the Dodgers scored their most runs in one inning of a regular-season game since moving to Los Angeles, piling up 11 in the bottom of the first during a 14-3 blowout over the St. Louis Cardinals. The 11-run inning surpassed the previous mark of 10, which had been done at least four times, most recently in the first inning on April 25, 2008, at Colorado. It was the second time in less than a year the Dodgers had an 11-run first. They put up the same number in Game 3 of last year’s NL Championship Series against Atlanta.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma takes one of the most prolific home run-hitting teams in NCAA Division I history into the Women’s College World Series. The team has 146 total homers. That's second in Division I history to Hawaii’s 158 in 2010. The Sooners lead the nation with 2.81 homers per game. Oklahoma faces James Madison in the opening game. In other matchups, No. 5 seed Oklahoma State will play Georgia, No. 3 seed Alabama will face No. 11 seed Arizona and No. 2 seed UCLA will play No. 10 seed Florida State. The best-of-three championship series starts June 7.

UNDATED (AP) — Former Southern California star Reggie Bush, who had his Heisman Trophy victory in 2005 vacated for committing NCAA violations, is among the players making their first appearance on the College Football Hall of Fame ballot. The National Football Foundation on Wednesday announced the players eligible for election into the Atlanta-based hall, and 26 of the 78 FBS players will be debuting on the ballot. Other first-timers included quarterbacks Andrew Luck of Stanford and Kellen Moore of Boise State, Penn State star linebackers LaVar Arrington and Paul Posluszny and former California running back Marshawn Lynch.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Seth Curry scored a playoff career-high 30 points and the Philadelphia Sixers beat Washington 129-112 to end their NBA first-round series in five games, Tobias Harris added 28 points and teamed with Curry and Ben Simmons to carry the offensive load with All-Star Joel Embiid out with a right knee injury. Simmons had 19 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds to keep the top-seeded 76ers in the hunt for their first championship since 1983.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Utah Jazz completed their NBA first-round in five games by downing the Memphis Grizzlies, 126-110. Donovan Mitchell scored 26 of his 30 points in the first half before finishing with 10 assists and six rebounds. Jordan Clarkson dropped 24 points and Rudy Gobert had 23 with 15 rebounds to help power the top-seeded Jazz to their fourth straight victory.

NEW YORK (AP) — The Atlanta Hawks have earned the right to face the 76ers in the second round of the NBA playoffs by disposing of the New York Knicks in five games. Trae Young put the finishing touches on his impressive first playoff series with 36 points and nine assists, guiding the Hawks past the Knicks, 103-89. Clint Capela backed up his confident words from a day earlier with 14 points and 15 rebounds.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Dallas Mavericks have regained the lead in their first-round series, going up 3-2 with a 105-100 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers. Luka Doncic provided 42 points and Tim Hardaway Jr. hit two free throws with eight seconds left to help the Mavericks close out the win. Hardaway Jr. added 20 points, the only other Mavs player in double figures.

UNDATED (AP) — The Colorado Avalanche own a 2-0 series lead in their Stanley Cup second-round series after Mikko Rantanen scored 2:07 into overtime to conclude a 3-2 win over the Vegas Golden Knights. Philipp Grubauer had 39 saves in becoming the first Colorado/Quebec goaltender to pick up six straight postseason victories. Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Eric Staal scored 1:40 apart to give the Montreal Canadiens a 2-0 lead just 5:10 into their Game 1 victory in the second round against Winnipeg.
