On Dec. 18, the Great Bend Police Department, along with Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #23, participated in our annual Cops and Kids shopping event at Walmart in Great Bend.

The officers were able to shop with approximately 50 children, who each got a gift card and were able to select what they wanted to buy for Christmas. The police officers were able to provide the families of the children with a gift card to help purchase some groceries as well.
