Carlon R. McMullen, 84, passed away in Wichita, KS on Jan. 19, 2022.
Born in Oklahoma City, OK on Sept. 3, 1937 he was the son of Cleo & Anna Bell (Neally) McMullen. He graduated from Ellinwood High School in 1957 and later joined the United States Army. Carlon served his country from 1957-1960. After his service he married Emily Hazel Smith on Feb. 14, 1966. She survives of the home.
Carlon worked at Stevens Motors as the parts manager before retiring in 1999. He was a 54-year member of the Masonic Lodge in Wichita, KS.
Survivors include wife, Emily McMullen, Wichita, KS; daughter, Joy Lynn Michael (Tim), Kechi, KS; sons, Don Meek, Wichita, KS brothers, Harold McMullen, Osage Beach, MO and Howard McMullen (Ann) Handford, CA; sisters, Shirley Koch, Amarillo, TX and Phyllis Eggerts, Hutchinson, KS; and 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Brian Bruggeman; brother, Ronald McMullen, sister, Carolyn Mae & sister-in-law, Cathy McMullen.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday Jan. 29 at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood, KS. Burial will follow with Masonic and Military honors at Lakin-Comanche Cemetery in Ellinwood, KS. Visitation will take place Friday, Jan. 28 from 3-7 p.m. at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood.
