For the past six years, the Clara Barton Medical Clinic in Great Bend has been located in Jackson Square, working with patients in 2,300 square feet. Suffice it to say, they've long outgrown their space.

In Spring 2022, the clinic will move into a brand new building with 10,000 square feet housing their primary care and surgical services. To assist the clinic's efforts, the Clara Barton Hospital Foundation started the Adopt-A-Room campaign.

Clara Barton Foundation Director Michelle Moshier says this campaign allows donors to "adopt" a patient room to help offset the cost of equipment and furnishings.

"The Adopt-A-Room" campaign allows the donors the adopt a room in the new clinic expansion. They will fund furniture and equipment while receiving recognition for their sponsorship. A variety of levels are available so that any business or individual can help impact the community," explains Moshier.

Peoples Bank and Trust have recently stepped forward as their lead donor in the campaign.

"Peoples Bank and Trust have adopted the lobby which will allow us to integrate two clinic practices. Family Practice and Surgical Services will have one spacious clinic with a centralized reception area. We are so grateful for the generous donation," says Mosier.

Peoples Bank and Trust recently purchased Community Bank of the Midwest and made the transition Feb. 22.

Moshier says the Foundation strives to raise awareness and funds to update their medical clinics to meet their medical needs.

If you or your business would like to adopt a room at the new Clara Barton Clinic being built just east of Dillons on McKinley Street, call the Clara Barton Foundation at 620-292-0814.
