
On Wednesday, Sept. 14 at approximately 1:35 a.m., a Great Bend Police Department officer made a traffic stop in the 5500 block of 9th Street on a silver 2003 Ford Mustang.
During the traffic stop, K9 Menta was utilized to conduct a free air sniff where she alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics.
After a routine and systematic search of the vehicle, drug paraphernalia containing a white powdery substance was located. Officers observed the white powdery substance to field test positive for methamphetamine.
Laveina White, age 46, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and no drug tax stamp. White was also arrested for driving without a license. White was transported to the Barton County Jail and held in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
