READ Western Kansas and the Great Bend Public Library invite parents, caregivers, community members and volunteers to attend a free presentation on ways to help develop literacy skills, at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 11th at the Library, 1409 Williams. Research shows that reading difficulties can be prevented when students receive direct, explicit instruction in the early grades. The session is free and open to the public.
