On July 31, Forest Avenue Antiques celebrated a new chapter with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the store's new ownership under Todd and Amanda Vanskike, as well as its membership in the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce.

During the event, Amanda Vanskike shared her enthusiasm for the smooth transition into ownership, noting how much she has enjoyed her time at the store. “It’s never felt like a chore,” she said. “My daughter and I can easily spend hours here, working and cherishing every moment.”

“I’ve shopped at antique stores for years, always on the hunt for that perfect piece for my home or a thoughtful gift for someone special. Forest Avenue Antiques was always a favorite of mine.”

The shop offers a collection of one-of-a-kind finds from various decades, alongside brand-new items that cater to all tastes. With multiple vendors, there’s truly something for everyone.

In addition to antiques, Forest Avenue Antiques also carries high-quality faux greenery, florals, and a selection of locally crafted products, including seasonal fresh cut flower arrangements, cheeses, summer sausages, and candles. The store is proud to support local artisans, including its own artist in residence.

Forest Avenue Antiques invites everyone to stop by and explore their beautiful and relaxing space. The store is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Amanda Vanskike shared, “Whether you’re a seasoned antique hunter or looking for that special something that speaks to you, our store is a must-visit place in town to experience.”
