Deborah A. “Debbie” Jimison, 66, died July 19, 2023, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas. She was born August 18, 1956, in Ellinwood, Kansas, the daughter of Gene and Marietta (Bieberle) Mooney. Debbie graduated from Bushton High School in 1975.
On August 23, 1975, she maried Kyle M. Jimison in Bushton, Kansas.
A lifetime Bushton resident, Debbie worked for Wal-Mart, Dollar General and most recently The Thunderbird Center in Bushton retiring in December of 2022. Debbie enjoyed her work in retail as she could talk to anyone. Her family describes her as the rock of the family, always caring for everyone. They fondly remember her great cooking and baking skills, especially her mashed potatoes, potato salad, mac and cheese, oven baked spaghetti and her homemade bierocks, to name a few. Besides cooking Debbie enjoyed coloring, word search puzzles, and cross-stich.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Kyle M. Jimison of the home; two sons, Chad Jimison and wife Misty of Clearwater and Jermy Jimison of Little River; three grandchildren, Taylor Jimison of Ellsworth, Daxton Jimison, and Tymberlin Jimison both of Clearwater; two brothers, Roy Mooney and wife Joyce, and Floy Mooney, all of Bushton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Helen Mooney.
Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 28, 2023, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment service will follow at Holy Name Cemetery, rural Bushton, Kansas. Friends may sign the book only as cremation has taken place.
