The building that housed the Sonic Restaurant on South Main Street in Hoisington has new owners, and they’re looking for someone to open a new business there. Hoisington City Manager Jonathon Mitchell said he just learned about the new ownership recently.
"The new owners are out of Meridian, Mississippi,” Mitchell commented. “They’re very eager and willing to try to partner with someone to bring a business into that facility. I think they put a listing out on Facebook trying to find interested tenants. And I think their target user would be some sort of quick-service food or coffee.”
Mitchell has high hopes that a future business will be successful there.
“I think the location and building are incredible,” Mitchell noted. “I think with the right manager, our community is willing to support a good quality business.”
“Fast Food Site Hoisington KS” is the name of the Facebook page that has information about the property.
