
On Saturday, May 10, the United States Postal Service Letter Carriers will be performing a food drive in Hoisington. All donations will go to the Hoisington Food Bank.
Citizens can place non-perishable donations in a bag by their mailbox. The Postal Service will ensure the items get to the food bank.
Here is a list of items that the food bank needs for it's free table (items not on the normal pantry order):
Shampoo and conditioner, feminine pads, tissues, bar soap, liquid hand soap, tooth brushes (adult & child), Hamburger Helper, Ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, meals in a can, canned meats, cake mix, brownie mix, canned soup
Pantry Items:
Vegetables: green beans, whole corn, peas, tomatoes, pork & beans, tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce
Dried items: pinto beans, navy beans, noodles, macaroni, spaghetti, rice, Mac & Cheese
Misc.: peanut butter, jelly, dry cereal
Fruit: fruit cocktail, peaches, pineapple, mandarin oranges, pears
Soup: chicken noodle, cream of mushroom, tomato, vegetable, cream of chicken, cream of potato, cream of celery
Staples: oil, crackers, potato flakes
Cleaners: dish soap, detergent
Paper products: toilet paper
