On Feb. 20, K-State Research and Extension will be hosting a program by Wildlife Specialist Drew Ricketts starting at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at Cheyenne Bottoms Wetlands Center located at 592 NE K 156 Hwy, Great Bend.
During his program, he will discuss deer biology, helping people to better understand their space use, cover and nutritional requirements among other topics. He will also discuss managing deer habitat and supplemental feeding. A light meal will be served and is sponsored by P & S Electric of Great Bend.
The same program will be held in Hays on Feb. 28 at the Ag Research Center, 1232 240th Ave in Hays beginning at 6:30 p.m. RSVP by Feb. 16 for the Great Bend option for a meal count. Nor RSVP needed for the Hays location. If you enjoy the outdoors, or more specifically enjoy hunting deer, don’t miss out on this event!
