High school football season is just around the corner, and Eagle Media is preparing to once again bring live play-by-play coverage of area teams to listeners and viewers across central Kansas.
Coverage of Great Bend Panther Football will air on B104.3 The Point, with Mike Hesher and Shawn Behr calling all the action throughout the season.
Fans can hear Hoisington Cardinal Football on 100.7 Eagle Country, where Brant Daughtry and Gene Manweiler will be behind the microphones every Friday night.
Meanwhile, Larned Indian Football returns to Hits 106.9, with Gary Wagner and Buddy Tabler providing live play-by-play coverage of the Indians.
In addition to the live radio broadcasts, Eagle Media will once again offer subscription-based live video streaming of Great Bend Panther and Hoisington Cardinal football games, giving fans another way to follow their favorite teams throughout the season. The video streams will be available through GreatBendPost.com.
Sports Day will also return for another season beginning Monday, Aug. 17. The weekday sports talk program will air Monday through Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on 1590 KVGB and 95.5 FM, with Brant Daughtry returning as host and Cayden Sanders joining the program as co-host. The show features local sports news, interviews, game previews, analysis and discussion centered on area high schools, Barton Community College, and regional sports.
In addition to live broadcasts and streaming, Eagle Media provides comprehensive coverage throughout the season with game previews, postgame interviews, scores, highlights and coverage on GreatBendPost.com, helping keep fans connected to their hometown teams.
Local businesses also have an opportunity to become part of the excitement. Sponsorship opportunities are now available for football broadcasts, live video streaming and Sports Day. Support from local businesses helps make local sports coverage possible while providing advertisers with consistent exposure across multiple platforms throughout the season.
"Eagle Media has always believed local sports are an important part of our communities," said Dakota Tucker, General Manager of Eagle Media Great Bend. "Our sponsors make it possible for us to continue providing live coverage of our student-athletes and local teams across radio, video and digital platforms while giving businesses a powerful way to connect with local sports fans."
Sponsorships are currently being accepted. Businesses interested in sponsoring Great Bend Panther, Hoisington Cardinal or Larned Indian sports, the Panther and Cardinal live video streams, or Sports Day are encouraged to contact their Eagle Media sales representative or email GBSALES@EAGLEMEDIA.COM for information on available sponsorship packages before the season begins.
