Eco Devo Director Sara Arnberger said after a request for a quote and interview process, Icon Structures was chosen as the project’s construction manager at risk.

"Icon Structures will be putting out public bid requests for subcontractors," said Arnberger. "Those are expected to be out mid- to late May. Also, we will be interviewing for the site director position at the end of May. We are still accepting applications until that time."

The 4,500 square-foot daycare center, to be located near the 10th Street and K-96 Highway intersection, is anticipated to be the first of multiple daycares built around Barton County. The Farmer’s Plaza Childcare Center will serve up to 59 children.
