B. Old business

   1. US 56 and McKinley traffic signal upgrade
      In 2019, the city applied for a TEAP (transportation engineering assistance program) for 10th and McKinley intersection. In 2021, KDOT reached out with a project proposal of signal improvements, making protected left-turn signals at all sides of the intersection. There is no local match required. A motion will be presented to approve a resolution and enter into the agreement with KDOT.

   The public is free to comment on items not listed on the agenda. Comments should be limited to three minutes.

   4. Dog park fencing
      Through the quality-of-life tax, dog park fencing was a project slated for 2023 for large dogs and small dogs. This would be aimed at separating those sizes of dogs. A motion will be presented to approve the proposal from Eldridge Fencing for $8,900 to install fencing at the dog park.

   5. 2024 chip seal with a fog seal topcoat
      A bid was released for 80,000 square yard of chip seal with a fog seal topcoat. The city has approximately 60 blocks to be surfaced. A motion will be presented to approve the bid from Circle C for $312,000 for the chip seal with a fog seal topcoat.

   6. Executive session
      An executive session has been requested to discuss economic development matters that will include confidential financial information and trade secrets of a business.
