ELLSWORTH COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 7a.m. Saturday in Ellsworth County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Chevy Malibu driven by Debra E Kendig, 64, Dodge City, was westbound on Kansas 156 six miles west of Ellsworth. The car swerved into the eastbound lane and struck the the rear axles of an eastbound 2023 semi causing it to spin.
EMS transported Kendig to Wesley Medical Center. The semi driver from Illinois was not injured. Kendig was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
