The Shafer Art Gallery is currently showing and exhibit entitled “Fierce Planets,” a collaboration between Studio Art Quilt Associates and the Johns Hopkins Wavelengths research communication program. A diverse group of 42 artists from 11 countries have presented their views of the universe in this collection of contemporary quilt and textile art. See the exhibit through August 15th. The Shafer Gallery’s summer hours are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is always free.
